Founded by industry experts Mattia Ciollaro and Fabrizio Lecci, both possessing impressive backgrounds in academia and the tech industry, DataCaptains boasts a team with extensive experience in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. They have spent over 15 years working in this field and have helped companies of all sizes succeed in their data-centric initiatives across various domains.

Mattia Ciollaro, the Co-Founder and PhD, previously worked as a technical leader at Amazon Alexa and PayPal, contributing to the design and implementation of both experimental and production-grade Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence systems. In addition to this, he is a Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University.

Fabrizio Lecci, another Co-Founder and PhD, has built and scaled both leadership and technical data teams at Uber Eats and Better Mortgage. As an academic, he has published over 20 peer-reviewed articles in top Statistics, Machine Learning, and Medicine journals. He also teaches graduate courses at Columbia University.
